Charissa Christopherson calls being the head cook at the ALERT and IBLP campus her “dream job.” From prepping mountains of food for the ALERT battalion to piping delicate cream puffs for a formal banquet, Charissa delights in creating beauty in the food she cooks.
Along with her team, Charissa calmly and capably serves meals to thousands of guests a year. A native of the Lone Star State, Charissa’s office in the ALERT kitchen is covered in Texan decor, creating an inviting corner where her staff knows they are loved. In her free time, Charissa enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her family.
At Excel, Charissa will direct culinary training right in the ALERT kitchen — giving young ladies hands-on experiences in menu planning, kitchen budgeting, banquet preparation, and more.
